Justine is Bundle Birth Nurses’ Community Generator! As Community Generator she gets to maintain and represent the culture of Bundle Birth Nurses, staying up to date with hospital birth trends, growing the BBN community, fostering relationships, building brand awareness,  assisting with program vision, and of course, leading BBN social media. Justine realized early on that nurses can make or break their patient’s birth experiences. She believes we as nurses, can change the culture of obstetrics one patient at a time. As a double board-certified staff nurse and clinical instructor in Southern California, she uses her background to build, encourage, teach and support the Bundle Birth Nurses community.

Justine through Bundle Birth Nurses has made it her goal to empower nurses so they see how big of a role they play in the birth room. She wants every single nurse she comes in contact with to understand that they matter and that what they do matters.

She hopes to unite birth workers to understand they are all on the same team in wanting safety and birth satisfaction.

You can find Justine almost daily reaching out and connecting with nurses on social media. She is seen as a safe person that nurses can connect and learn with. Justine has a huge heart for new to L&D and new grad nurses. She wants to be the person nurses go to when they are struggling and need guidance. The nurse that you trust and can say anything to without fear of judgment.

Justine is a wife of an ER nurse that thinks her dreams are wild and the mom of a son she hopes to make proud. They live in Jurupa Valley, CA with their 2 dogs, 2 cats, and 8 chickens. In her free time, she enjoys camping, biking, lying in the grass at a park, playing board games, and reading OB books for fun.

Birth is powerful and transforming. So are nurses. My passion is supporting nurses as they recognize, own, and utilize their influence to positively impact care for birthing families. 

Over the past 10 years, I have cared for both nurses and families as an L&D clinical nurse, childbirth educator, nurse leader, and adjunct university faculty. The moment I witnessed childbirth as a student, I knew I found my niche. I was amazed by the capability of the human body and recognized an immense opportunity to empower and support mothers. Whether I am working in the hospital or the classroom, my passion is reminding mothers and nurses alike what they are capable of and influencing change to elevate and enhance birth care.

I am humbled and excited to be a part of the Bundle Birth team. Years ago, I mentored Sarah as a childbirth educator and hospital-based L&D nurse. Her obvious creativity, drive, and desire to improve care energized me. Encouraging her, and others along, their individual paths to make a difference inspired and filled me. I learned that in order for me to thrive, I needed to not only believe in and support birth, but birth workers. Fast-forward a few years and changes in roles for both Sarah and I. Bundle Birth is born, and Sarah recruits me to join her team! She is now my mentor. I love collaborating with Sarah, Justine, and Breanne. We share passion, purpose, and vision. It’s truly a privilege to support, guide, and encourage YOU as you realize your own INDIVIDUAL and UNIQUE possibility and potential to shape the care we provide for expectant families.

I believe nurses are essential to delivering high-quality healthcare. I love volunteering and working with others motivated only by a shared passion and a desire to make a difference. Educational events are my favorite! I currently serve in various leadership capacities with AWHONN-UT and the Utah Women’s and Newborn Quality Collaborative. 

In addition to being a nurse, I am a mother, wife, early-riser, fitness enthusiast, and productivity junkie.

I fell in love for the first time with Matt LeCheminant in college, and have continued to fall in love with him since as a husband and father. We have two amazing kids that teach and inspire us daily. My experience and work as a mother has amplified my call to serve in birth. It’s personal for me. I know our work as nurses and mothers matters. 

I am a “day-shifter.” I wake up at 5:05 am daily. I delight in taking this time to care for myself physically, mentally, spiritually, and organize myself for the day. Meal planning and cooking are essentials for me. I always have a to-do list and sticky notes. I love to ski, hike, golf with my husband, swim with my kids, and any fitness class – EXCEPT Zumba. 

I believe in birth. I believe in you. I am excited to make a difference together! 

Breanne’s zeal for women’s health began in Kenya, Africa while teaching teen girls about menstruation and feminine hygiene as a certified nursing assistant. Since then, Breanne received her BSN at Brigham Young University-Idaho, her MSN in education at The University of New Mexico, and has eight years of experience in maternal nursing. Breanne is currently a passionate Mentor with Bundle Birth, a nursing corporation. She has been known in her Labor and Delivery Units to be an agent for change, is an avid researcher, and an eager educator – often sending triage patients home with an abundance of resources and homework. Breanne has led unit committees through policy updates, instructed hospital-wide trainings, and taught community and online prenatal classes. She is the creator of Mommytobeprep, an Instagram platform to educate and empower expecting parents.

Breanne’s mission with Bundle Birth is to help labor nurses recognize and step into their power… and ultimately, decrease the global maternal mortality rate and increase birth satisfaction! Breanne has the attitude that nothing a mentee can do or say will make her think less of you. Breanne prioritizes connection and sees herself as a perpetual student. She recognizes the importance of parents beginning their journey with confidence and believes empowered births begin with empowered nurses.

Breanne is married to Bryce, an orthopedic surgeon resident at The University of New Mexico. Bryce and Breanne have been married for eight years and have two vibrant girls. Breanne aspires to show her daughters how powerful and influential women are. They currently live in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Breanne enjoys running, yoga, photography, listening to podcasts, deep conversations, and lively kitchen dance parties.

As a child, I was always drawn to healing roles and was constantly bandaging my siblings and pets unnecessarily. As my passion for medicine grew, I entered nursing school to pursue pediatric oncology. However, I discovered my love for birth work serendipitously when I witnessed my first delivery. I remember tears welling up as I witnessed the magical moment when one person becomes two. Every birth stills leaves me in awe.

I received my BSN at the University of San Francisco. I have been a labor and delivery nurse for seven years and currently work in Oakland, California where I support a diverse population of birthing people. I feel grateful to practice in a place that appreciates the variety and complexity in which birth exists. Currently I serve on my unit’s Supporting Vaginal Birth Committee, with the goal to decrease preventable cesareans and improve birth outcomes and satisfaction among our families. I am a fierce advocate for my patients and I approach each birth with authenticity and curiosity.

I live in a loft in North Oakland with my pup Olive and my partner Dariush, who has eagerly become my biggest fan with all my birth-related endeavors. I enjoy rock climbing, yoga, reading, camping, and loving on all the dogs that cross my path. I also spend my time volunteering at the Berkeley Humane Society as a photographer for cats and dogs.

Bundle Birth has enriched my practice profoundly and it is a great honor to join the team. I am inspired to share what I’ve learned, so that together, we can create change in the way we provide care for families. I believe you are all outstanding for being here and I can’t wait to create a safe space for you to grow your practice. My mission is to provide judgement-free support and empower you, just as we empower our birthing people. You represent hope in obstetrics!

I have been fascinated with pregnancy, childbirth and babies for as long as I can remember, and ever since the birth of my first child, I could feel a pull toward helping others experience birth as an empowering, life-changing event. My path took several turns through social work/adoption, youth ministry, and raising five humans full time, but my dream of becoming an RN was finally realized ten years ago when I finished nursing school (while raising five little ones under the age of twelve – do not necessarily recommend that part!) and got my first job at the local hospital. I worked in critical care for six years and worked in three different hospitals before I finally stepped into my dream role in Labor and Delivery four years ago! 

I am currently a Labor and Delivery travel nurse and a certified childbirth doula. I absolutely LOVE when I get to be a preceptor and help new nurses (or new to L&D) feel empowered and confident in their skills BEFORE they are out on their own, so when I saw the opportunity to work with the incredible team at Bundle Birth, it was a no-brainer for me!

In my spare time, I love hanging out with my kids and my husband, doing yoga, grabbing coffee with friends, or going for a hike wherever I can find a place.

My heart as a Bundle Birth mentor is to help each of you see the potential you have to change every single patient’s birth experience. As you pour into your own education and knowledge through mentorship, you will in turn empower and inform every single family you have the privilege of working with. Birth is a “thin place”….sacred ground, and the energy and knowledge you bring, as well as the way you bring it, MATTERS.

There is no better way to change birth culture than by educating and walking with Labor Nurses as you learn how to better care for birthing families, and I am so excited to walk alongside you on this journey!

Hello, my name is Diana! I work behind the scenes in the BundleBirth office. I’m responsible for different office tasks like keeping areas stocked, inventory, and assembling many of the items available in the shop. If you’ve ever purchased a position guide, big pelvis guys, or gotten small pelvis guys for classes those are made by me! What I enjoy most about working at Bundle Birth is the positive work environment and getting to learn new things about birth.

Hi, I’m Sophia! Your resident email enthusiast who is absolutely guilty of incorporating far too many exclamation points in our digital correspondence. At Bundle Birth, I provide administrative assistance and facilitate hospital partnerships nationwide. You might also recognize me from the Coping with Labor Class and Birth Ball Guide (complete with a fake belly)!

In my career thus far, I have been fortunate to work within prominent organizations such as the World Health Organization as well as some of the top hospitals worldwide in Jerusalem, Boston, San Diego, and Los Angeles. Prior to arriving at Bundle Birth, I served as the Program Coordinator for the Childbirth & Parenting Education Program at a major hospital in Los Angeles, where I worked for seven years and earned a hospital award for transitioning the in-person program to virtual learning during the height of the pandemic. Throughout that time, I met and worked alongside both Mykel LeCheminant, one of our incredible nurse mentors, and Sarah Lavonne, my future boss 🙂

My passion for helping others came from my parents, who modeled their values in both their personal and professional lives and continue to do so to this day. I started volunteering at a young age in food banks, and as a college student worked to connect health clinic patients to essential resources like food, heat, and housing. I operate with a deeply held belief that health is a human right, and I have observed the gap in health literacy and health equity firsthand in my life and work, especially as it relates to women’s health, pregnancy, and birth. It is my mission to work toward increased access to health education and resources and to empower individuals to advocate for themselves in healthcare settings. I’m currently pursuing my Master of Public Health with a focus on Health Equity.

I grew up in San Diego, studied in Boston, and currently live in Los Angeles. I love exploring new places (cities, shops, galleries, parks) and learning new things (especially related to animals and nature), live music at small venues, spending time in the sun, podcasts, photography, trivia, and long walks to nowhere in particular.

My name is Amy Dodd, and I have been tasked with overseeing marketing for Bundle Birth to help the company expand its reach as we continue on our mission to provide education, resources and support for nurses and birthing people everywhere. A Los Angeles native, I hope to lean on my 15+ years of marketing experience to strengthen and grow the Bundle Birth brand. Prior to joining the company, I worked in a marketing leadership role in a variety of companies and industries, including mobile apps and games, outsourced sales, and toys. I have spearheaded go-to-market and promotional planning for multiple products and brands, achieving massive revenue gains through brand strategy and management while maximizing exposure, securing millions of clients and users, increasing engagement, and leading new product launches. I am passionate about building strong brands and helping to differentiate them from the competition. I come from a writing and copywriting background, and I plan to lean on those skills as I work to deepen the connection between our community of experienced nurses, healthcare professionals, and birthing families. As a mother of two myself, I have personally experienced the overwhelming, confusing, and intimidating nature of the labor and delivery process, and I feel deeply connected to our mission and excited about the opportunity to help empower healthcare providers and patients with the information and tools they need to create better outcomes and more positive experiences to all those connected to the childbirth process. I strongly believe that laughter is the best medicine, and I hope to infuse plenty of humor and joy into any marketing content I help develop for Bundle Birth. I hold a Master of Professional Writing (MPW) from USC, a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Film Studies from U.C.S.B, and a Certificate in Marketing.

Heidi has been a L&D nurse since 2013 and an AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Instructor since 2023, but has been immersed in birthwork since she was born (family of L&D nurses…couldn’t escape!). While her love is contributing to a positive birth experience for all her patients, her PASSION is mentoring new nurses and teaching. She believes that confidence comes from a solid foundation of physiologic knowledge and helps nurses connect that to their day-to-day practice. She is driven by helping new nurses recognize their value and works to inspire them to keep learning. She believes nurses can change the world.

Driven by her passion to help nurses connect to their professional identity as a patient advocate, Jen has dedicated her career to educating nurses at all stages in their career–from new grads to nurses that are decades in. When she’s not at the bedside caring for patients, she works as an independent educator on various nursing and legal topics, serves as an expert witness in hundreds of cases, and is an AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Instructor Trainer. A Labor & Delivery, Postpartum and Nursery/Resuscitation nurse since 2007, Jen draws on these experiences to create educational content and classes that are empowering and memorable.

Hi all! I joined the team in June 2023 as the Bundle Birth Nurse Program Coordinator. With a background in social work, I have always been passionate about helping people to feel seen and empowered. I live in Quito, Ecuador with my husband and two kids, Dakota (born in 2020) and Riley (born in 2022). I work part time remote for Bundle Birth and direct a local nonprofit organization in Ecuador. I am so honored to be part of the Bundle Birth Team!
